Urvi Sanghvi, RN
Board Member, Doctoral Student, Clinical Nurse, and Researcher Focused on Improving Pediatric Health Outcomes
Urvi, who recently earned her MS in Nursing, is a doctoral student at the University of Colorado, Denver and a Clinical Nurse at Children’s Hospital Colorado. Her graduate research, to be completed in 2020, is focused on clinical and biobehavioral science, specifically how the transformative nature of biology and behavior influence the health of children born prematurely. Her work as a clinical nurse centers on initiatives that advance care to those with critical pediatric and congenital cardiovascular disease.
She was raised in Southern California and attended the University of California – San Diego where she earned her BS in Physiology and Neuroscience. Her training as a scientist began in drug discovery at Celgene Corporation, studying genomics and translational medicine to develop promising new therapies. In 2009, Urvi moved to Denver where she obtained her BS in Nursing from Regis University and started her career as a Registered Nurse. In 2011, Urvi moved into clinical research, sparking her interest and commitment to deepening our understanding of pediatric health.
Urvi and her husband Ankit live in Denver and have two beautiful children.
