My name is Izzy snayd. I am currently going into my sophomore year at Newtown High School. I got involved with the Avielle Foundation through volunteering for the past couple of years at Brainstorm Experiences and for the Spark program. I already knew a lot about TAF and the more I learn about it, the more involved I want to become and the more passionate I am about their mission. I have always had a love for science and am particularly fascinated with the brain, how it works, and how it can regulate people’s behaviors. I want to understand more about what causes people to act the way they do. Brain health is something that I think needs to be both talked about and understood by more people. I hope to bring better awareness to brain health and think that it is important for more people my age to understand what brain health truly is and how it affects people. As a TAF intern I hope to create a podcast series about brain health from the perspective of a high school student.
