Allison Hsu

I am a sophomore at Wesleyan University in Middletown, CT and a graduate of the Taft School in Watertown, CT. I am pursuing a double major in Psychology and Dance and a minor in Art History, and I am interested in arts administration and nonprofit management. I grew up in Newtown, CT, and I started working with the Avielle Foundation my junior year of high school after becoming involved with the Resiliency Center of Newtown and attending a Youth Brain Health First Aid class led by Jeremy Richman. I am passionate about addressing the stigma behind brain illnesses and the gap between need and brain health resources that exists within communities. At college, I am involved in a number of activism groups that advocate for greater brain health awareness and promote positive brain health and wellness, and I am currently working with other artists on projects that explore the links between brain health and the arts.
