The mission of the Spark Project is the same as The Avielle Foundation’s mission: to prevent violence and build compassion by fostering brain science research, community engagement, and education. Spark members focus on implementing this mission on a local level here in Newtown, CT. Through hosting and sponsoring programs and events in Newtown and surrounding communities that serve to educate, connect, inspire and empower residents, we are putting into practice what we learn on a national scale and building a more informed and peaceful community on a local scale.
